The river exist as a moment
beginning middle and end.
A child writes – A child
scribbles –
the stone of
history with water;
the river, the stream – tears

    I like the elemental images of many of your poems. They remind me of William Carlos Williams and of Native American poetry. I find that getting down to basic elements makes a poem somehow more spiritual. I can’t explain that really; it’s a numinous and intuitive thing for me.

    Your poem rings very true. What is history after all, but a record of the tears of the past?
